BEHIND THE SCENES AT OCC is a brand new podcast featuring the Orange County Choppers (OCC) crew, who were made world famous by Discovery Channel’s American Chopper, and have become a lifestyle brand for motorcycle aficionados. Hosted by Paul Teutel, Sr. and several other members of the acclaimed cast, the podcast will dig into decades worth of behind the scenes stories. The crew will reminisce through experiences, encounters, builds, shop drama, and motorcycle education to provide listeners with the kind of OCC lore they didn’t know they wanted.

In addition to digging into the early years of OCC and the cast’s origin stories, BEHIND THE SCENES AT OCC will tap into the massive collection of celebrities who have had bikes built for them. There will be occasional episodes featuring well known guests from all walks of life to discuss their experiences with the guys during the bike build and life after.

THE CAST

PAUL TEUTUL SR.

Orange County Choppers (OCC) is a world famous custom motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1999 by Paul Teutul Sr. At their facility based in Newburgh, NY, Paul Sr. and his team of custom fabricators design, engineer and manufacture unique choppers. Orange County Choppers has been the center of the hit TV reality series American Chopper, which debuted in September 2002 on the Discovery Channel. They continue to entertain millions of people worldwide on a weekly basis. OCC bikes are customized and built around a theme or, increasingly, for a broad spectrum of motorcycle enthusiasts around the world.

MIKEY TEUTUL

Michael Joseph Teutul is the youngest son of Paul Teutul Sr.. At age 14, Teutul began working at his family's company, the Orange County Iron Works. After Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. started Orange County Choppers, Teutul joined them as an assistant general manager. His duties involved answering phones and taking out the trash. On rare occasions, Teutul would help build choppers, at one point building his own bike. The family business became the basis for the popular American Chopper series.

JOAN KAY

Before joining OCC as Chief Executive Officer Joanie worked in healthcare as a business owner, executive, and manager for over twenty five years. After initial management stints at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and elsewhere, she started and subsequently sold an urgent care center to Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. She later started a medical billing company growing it into a multi-million dollar business. Joan has taken over the reins of OCC, traveling with Paul Sr and the team to all events, and overseeing all OCC operations. An avid rider, Joan (with Paul) are devoted to a menagerie of animals they’ve rescued over their years together, while supporting many veterans’, children's and animal rescue charities.

JOSH ALLISON

Motorcycles have been Josh Allison’s passion since childhood. He got his first dirt bike at the age of eight and never looked back. Right out of school, he started working in high-end hot rod shops while building bikes on the side. Josh started his own shop, Cry Baby Cycles and began building motorcycles full-time. Over the past ten years Josh had his bikes featured in Horse Magazine, Cycle Source, Easy Rider, Revolution, and Freeway Magazine. He is a four-time invitee to The Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, Peoples Champ contender, Born Free Invited Builder, multiple awards in Sturgis Bike Week, two-time invitee to The Concours de’ Elegance show. He has had two bikes featured in David Uhl’s paintings, Chopcult Tech Article contributor and featured in Wrench Against the Machine’s TV show. Josh is now the lead fabricator and shop manager at Orange County Choppers.

JASON POHL

Jason stands at the crossroads of design and technology. He has been the Lead Designer at OCC since 2004. Before that he was an Artist/Animator at Incredible Technologies where he worked on various video games. He attended the Illinois Institute of Art, where he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. Jason believes in hard work, loyalty and keeps a relentless never give up attitude. OCC has relied on him for over 15 years to provide state of the art designs for fortune 500 companies and individuals from all over the world.
